October without hunger and SOUMA

October has arrived, and with it the start of our Equal Food fruit and vegetable basket donation initiative. This week we visited SOUMA, a project created in 2017 by Amigos da Estrela - Associação de Solidariedade Social, whose mission is to transform lives, focusing essentially on... Isolation and social exclusion regardless of age or life circumstances.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, it has maintained weekly support for 350 people, distributing weekly meals and/or food baskets to ensure that all these families have a week free from hunger.

Their home serves as a safe haven because one of the main problems common to the people they support is the lack of a support network, whether family or friends, which makes such a difference in overcoming life's challenges. Therefore, one of their main goals is to help these families reintegrate into society, making them autonomous and self-sufficient!

We've joined forces with SOUMA , and this week our fruits and vegetables will be delivered to many families, ensuring they have a weekly diet full of vitamins. 🙏
