October without hunger

This week, on September 29th, was the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste. It was also the week we celebrated Equal Food's 1st anniversary and 100 tons of food saved from being wasted!! 🥳

It has always been our goal to give back as much as possible to our community, and thankfully we have already managed to do so in various ways, both with producers and consumers. But there is still much to be done, and that is why, in this celebration so important to us, we decided to launch a new initiative:

What is October without hunger?

During the next month, Equal Food will donate 100 food baskets (1 ton of food) to needy families in need of food assistance. This campaign also aims to create a link between the Equal Food community and people in the city of Lisbon who are experiencing hardship.
"October without hunger" will mark the beginning of a new phase for this project, in which Equal Food customers will have the opportunity to donate baskets of fresh produce directly to these families.
