October without hunger and Santos Collective

This week, 250kg of (im)perfect fruits and vegetables from Equal Food were donated to Coletivo Santos to support APSOV (parish assistance of Santos-o-Velho).

In addition to distributing around 100 meals daily to people in the Santos community, APSOV also manages to distribute (both through fundraising and distribution to those with mobility difficulties) baskets of essential goods that Santos Collective collects at its weekly events.

Furthermore, APSOV is also a day center, and the only social institution that provides support to the elderly in the parish of Santos-o-Velho, where 28% of the resident population is over 65 years old!

Santos Collective and APSOV are always in need of donations, and they also need a new space, so we want to encourage all Equal Foodies to make their contribution!

We are so happy that, with your help, we were able to deliver all these fruits and vegetables from our Equal Food Baskets (which, by the way, is the least donated type of product) to all these families, who will now have a week with a more colorful diet! 🥕🍌🍅
