October without hunger and Casa T

This week our donation went to Casa T, a center for welcoming, socializing, and empowering transgender people!

Casa T was created in August 2020 as a response to the widespread and aggravated housing crisis for transgender and/or immigrant and/or racialized people. This project aims to provide shelter and protection for transgender people who, in almost all cases, live in vulnerable conditions.

Still without state funding, they are currently running a GoFundMe campaign to help pay the rent and expenses to continue this project.

This week we decided to lend a hand, and so these baskets pictured with our volunteers were donated to Casa T to ensure they have their weekly supply of fruits and vegetables! 💙
