New year, new challenges!

Novo ano e novos desafios com a Equal Food

We all love symbolic dates, whether it’s celebrating the best night of the year or drinking tea under the covers with a special person, the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one is living proof of the passing of time. That’s why this is a time for reflection, to look at what’s past and create new energy for what’s to come. It may sound a little idealistic, but this constant reminder of the temporality that comes with new years has an effect on us, making us ask ourselves: who are we and what impact do we want to leave on the planet?

The Equal Food Team's Personal Resolutions

Equal Food Team

We share with you some of our personal resolutions for the new year, and maybe you can feel inspired!

  • Go to the supermarket and do not bring any plastic containers or bags;
  • Always carry a canteen to drink water or tea and a cloth bag for unexpected purchases;
  • Reduce our personal ecological footprint: drive less and cycle more, fly less and take the train more!
  • Shop according to the season , proximity and support diversity!

Projects worth supporting

Over the past decade, we have made considerable progress in understanding what needs to be done to continue living on our planet in favorable conditions!

There is still a lot of work to be done, but the hope that this will happen remains alive and makes all the difference!

We would like to share with you some initiatives, associations and projects that you should familiarize yourself with in 2022:

  • Vegetarian Challenge: to try a 100% vegetarian diet with the support of those who know what they're talking about!
  • Green Association: to help plant more trees and make the planet greener!
  • Refood: to help distribute more meals to those who need it most.

And also some sustainable brands and stores that we loved and want to support:
