Red Velvet Pancakes

In addition to its pigmentation, beetroot has numerous benefits such as strengthening the immune system, lowering blood pressure, helping to combat inflammation, regulating intestinal transit, improving mental and cognitive function, etc.

These pancakes from @greensandnuts are super tasty and no one will be able to resist them!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 beetroot
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 30 ml of vegetable drink
  • 110g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 30g almond flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Toppings: natural yogurt, agave, red fruits

PREPARATION METHOD

    • 1 tbsp coconut oil
    • 2 tsp ground flaxseed
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp vanilla essence
    • 1 pinch of salt
    • Toppings: natural yogurt, agave, red fruits
    • Grease a frying pan (or crepe pan) with coconut oil and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the mixture at a time. Cook for about 1 minute on each side over low heat.
    • Serve the pancakes with natural yogurt, red fruit sauce and agave. Enjoy! :)
